How I Feel About Lying

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave…when first we practice to deceive.” – Walter Scott.

When you lie you are just tangling your self up in web of confusion.  If you tell the truth then you don’t have to remember any lies you told.  If anyone lies they are digging themselves into a ditch and the more you dig the harder it is to come out.  If a person is lying to me and didn’t tell the truth for say eight weeks then I would be upset because they couldn’t trust me enough to tell me what ever they were doing.  “White lies are different though because they are usually told not to hurt someone’s feelings” is a lie some people tell themselves, not realizing the unintended consequences of lying and that people can get hurt even when you have good intentions.  You risk losing your reputation and your relationships when you can’t be honest.
