The “Purr”fect Dragons

The cats were out on their daily walk around the garden when they spotted lizards!  They loved tasty lizards and gobbled them up.  Unbeknownst to them, they were not ordinary lizards, they were baby dragons.  The next day was completely normal for the entire household:  the kids did their homework, the parents did paperwork, and the cats napped and played.  Early the following morning as the birds chirped, the cat’s backs sprouted two, scaly, blue wings and acquired the magical ability to breathe fire!  With a surge of supernatural need for adventure, they both break through a window, and started to fly away.  They decided to soar to a nearby beach, because Rocket forgot to do his “business” before they left.  He has always thought of himself as a connoisseur, pre”fur”ing soft Florida sand to unrefined store-bought litter.  Some sunbathers witnessed the two flying fuzzballs as Rocket was spewing fire out of his unlatched jaws.  One person yelled “Ew! it smells like rotting fish and tooth decay!” another screamed “Take shelter!”.  The cats slammed into the beach, sand flying everywhere, nearly missing the tired swimmers.  Rocket was embarrassed by the amateur landing, he decided to post-pone his bathroom break, so he rolled over and mewed, hoping to get a belly scratch and some sympathy.  His purrs echoed like a volcanic eruption.  Eventually, dozens military vehicles that reeked of catnip pulled up the parking lot.  Several soldiers trotted down the beach and started to rub the cats with the most high-quality, potent, freshest catnip out there, Fiesta Gato! (Check it out here). Due to the high dosage of catnip that they consumed, their wings weakened and shriveled up, and fell off.  The soldiers immediately rounded up the cats and the wings with haste, and took them to a secret laboratory, where they discovered that consumed dragon eggs will drastically alter feline DNA…  To date, the only way to reverse the effects of dragon mutated cat DNA is to ingest large amounts of Fiesta Gato.

The “Grammies”

If you didn’t already know, Ella and my cats love our Mom, or their Grammy. This is a fictional story about Rocket and Sox’s event to celebrate with their fabulous Grammy. This is a “purrsonal” narrative for Rocket.
I step out of the limo and onto the red carpet, I suavely take off my aviators and kneel down to scratch the sisal-covered velvet rope “fur” the “pawpurratzis”. I stand up and stuff the sunglasses in my pocket. I dart inside to wait for the star of the night, Grammy. The aromas wafting from the sushi bar lead me to its location. I pounce up to the bar, I order a sushi “purrito” stuffed with bluefin tuna, ahi tuna, swordfish, white truffles, siracha mayonnaise, and cream cheese. As I sink my teeth into the humongous meal, all of the juices and flavors poured into my mouth, overwhelming my taste buds. Once Grammy pulls up and steps out of the limo, Soxs and I rush to greet her. She danced towards us like a spring leaf in the wind, her green, fluffy house robe bringing out the green in her eyes, glistening like a green dart frog after a rain. I accidentally spilled some siracha mayonnaise on the robe but I quickly licked it up, only leaving a giant stain behind, I don’t think Grammy noticed. We climb into her pockets and get lots of head scratches and “good boys”. Then we direct her inside, heading into the cat sized theater with one human chair, custom made for Grammy, grabbing more sushi “purritos” on the way. The movie, Grammy: The life of the best person ever, which I directed myself, was a biography of my “favfurite” “purrson”. I was tearing up at the end, but I managed not to cry too much. After the exciting night everyone headed home, including Grammy, and I’m glad she had a good time.

 

Watermelon Viking Ship

Yesterday, Ella and I helped our mom carve a ship, made out of watermelon, for 3 hours! My Grandpa is having his 85th birthday in a few days and we wanted to celebrate by making a fruit boat that we all enjoyed.

Cookies

Me and my Sister made unicorn cookies that we got from our Aunt Susie.  We made them yesterday and they are delicious.

Chalk Art

A few days ago my Mom, Sister, and I all made a small mural in-front of my Grandpas small chalet.  I drew most of the art including all of the tropical birds, the under water reef and shipwrecked boat, both whales, and the island with the coconut palm tree.  My mom drew a glowing sun, monkey under the macaws arm, and the dapper shrimp in a water droplet.

Hamster Play Area

My dad, sister, and I made a cardboard hamster play area for my friend Celia’s hamsters, Pepper and Sugar.  It took a few days, to make but was worth the effort.  If you make a hamster house with hot glue, you have to make sure your pets don’t chew or eat the hot glue because it is toxic.  They can play with it only with supervision because of the structure is made of temporary materials.  I can’t wait to see them to use it!

Rocket’s Poem:

My cat Rocket is a dapper boy

He makes everyone smile and gives lots of joy

He thinks everything is a toy, including Soxs

Everyone is certain that HE really rocks

 

Sox’s Poem:

He is a thin, little cat, but don’t mistake him for frail

He runs and pounces on his poor brother’s tail

During their sibling fights, they roll and flail

Oh what a ruckus when they whine and wail

He may look a little feminine, but he certainly is male

 

Respa’s Poem:

You snap and pinch, but are sweet inside

 The cats want to get you, they’ve already tried

You climb your plants when you want your food

You are not demanding or even slightly rude

And that’s exactly why you’re not seafood

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fingerboard Park

Yesterday I made a DIY skate park for when I get a few finger boards.  It includes a half-pipe, a ramp, a rail, and stairs.  The bowl I got from the dollar store, it will serve as a skateboard bowl.
